This privacy policy explains how Star17, Inc. (referred to as "Star17," "we", "us", or "our"), as a controller, collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data collected from each user (“you”). This privacy policy applies to our website and your further interaction with Star17.

There are instances where we have a legitimate interest to use your data. If you are located in Mexico, your personal data may also be transferred to, and processed in, countries outside Mexico, including the United States, Canada, and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Under the LFPDPPP, we may carry out such transfers without obtaining your separate consent where the transfer is made to a third party that processes personal data on our behalf and under our instructions (for example, our service providers identified in Section 2), or where another exception recognized under Mexican law applies. Where a transfer falls outside these exceptions, we will obtain your consent before transferring your personal data abroad.
In all cases, we require the recipients of your personal data to maintain confidentiality and security obligations consistent with those described in this Privacy Policy, whether through contractual commitments, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other appropriate safeguards.
We retain personal data for a period of 5 years from the date of collection or your last interaction with us (whichever is later), unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for litigation or regulatory compliance purposes).
Where we process personal data for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the data until you ask us to stop, and for a short period of 1- 3 business days after this (to allow us to implement your requests). We also keep a record of the fact that you have asked us not to send you direct marketing or to process your data so that we can respect your request in future.

Wherever we rely on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. We may however have other legal grounds for processing your data for other purposes, such as those set out above.
In some cases, we are able to send you direct marketing without your consent, where we rely on our legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to opt-out of direct marketing, or profiling we carry out for direct marketing, at any time. If you are located in Mexico, the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, "LFPDPPP") grants you the following rights, known collectively as ARCO rights:

We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request, and we will respond within the timeframes established by applicable Mexican law.
Revoking your consent. Where we process your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to revoke that consent at any time, free of charge and without retroactive effect. Revoking your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the revocation.
